(1) there were 2 other mods. this ban was assented to by @1upsforlife (fyg said nothing). this is the mod chat; the final msg is missing: 1ups replied "ok, let's see how it goes" owtte. i lost access b4 screenshotting but it's still there afaik (so only @lego6245 can see it ig)

it's my fault that i vented suspicions about jeff in public, but my core point about his intervention r.e. toburr is factually right. this is genuinely smth i'd fire a mod over bc it's a big safety risk (jeff liking this false tweet proves my point). from my wip self-inquiry:

highlighted part is key. afaict, jeff didn't know what happened in the mod channel but *speculated* this was a unilateral ban. @despin_sr / mods can prove this if they want. i don't get the double standard between me speculating "abusively" in public vs what jeff was doing here

(in case you're wondering about fyg, he was unaware that the mod channel existed lmao. my way of handling this ban respected the fact that shine heads was effectively unmoderated, with one mod who didn't care and another whose reluctance to engage in conflict i tried to respect)

it helps a lot that i also informed the other mods, who thus were able to overturn and redo the ban of their own volition. but even w/o that, toburr was able to compel them to review it cos he had the full rationale

i also sent intent to ban 3 days in advance, citing no apology

(3) the case obvs didn't merit a warning for the reason i highlight from the rationale. he was guilty, so needed to apologise. do right by victims. the fact toburr complains about this shows me he's not sorry for what he did and is smth i noted when i rejected his later apology
