basic idea i just had
idk why the idea of polygamy isn’t more normalised for teenagers. nobody really expects those relationships to last very long or be the final settling-down ones. yet kids are developing trust issues and failing exams cos they’re being cheated on?

i was reminded of this from some kid in a film who had 2 gfs and was keeping them secret from each other. i don’t see what benefit the illusion of dedication to one person has at that age. i would just normalise exploratory intimacy and maining your favourite partners

and then if partners mature and want to settle down then they can switch to monogamy? seems pretty simple to me tbh
this also breaks down the distinction between casual and romantic and makes it a smoother transition from friendships, which also seems healthier to me
