i see it as an overture towards the blue pill again. it's like, it doesn't matter how bad a person someone is, all there is is the longing for the good side. it would've paid me well to heed this 5y ago but it's not possible to react to these things if you weren't raised that way

part of upbringing is being taught to navigate the messy and self-contradictory patterns that arise from relationships. it's about seeding expectations. you can learn, for example, when someone dislikes you, to be grateful for the positive crumbs you receive

many of the mistakes i got punished the hardest for were caused by aiming for an unrealistic level of self-respect. however, even i have to admit it isn't possible to emotionally reprogram somebody out of incellism for example. you start getting into david reimer territory [5/5]
