usually it’s been a quid pro quo for friendship, which i lost the ability to fulfil the more the bullying took me apart. so in this way, bullying becomes a vicious cycle. it’s imperative that others intervene to stop it else it devolves into silent treatment etc. (my last thread)

i’m actively reminded every time i talk to an sms friend how inescapable the orbit is of the people who socially abused me there. it’s a reason i instinctively hide from everybody in my life, cos i’m surrounded by people who’ve bullied me in most directions i look [1/8]

i told an irl friend about this incident (qrt). he knows this “ronpat” person and cringed when i told him he shared info about me to “invictus”, and then said invictus trying to use this vs me was “crazy”

ig the clue is what happened next. i said to my friend i don’t wanna bias him vs ronpat so he can read the receipts, and he said “i don’t care”

which, yeah, how often has anybody cared about someone being bullied enough to stop it? now that i think about it

friend’s solution is the usual one – just leave. every group always says the other is mistreating you. so their words are meaningless, right? it’s more like

you lost the game vs bullying in all of these cases, and moreover the bullying is basically everywhere so u can’t escape

i ruled out cutting off everyone i know and starting again for a few reasons, but one is that it seems likely that an sdll-type abuse would recur

and if you don’t leave then you will get finished by the bullying eventually since the point of bullying is domination of the victim

if the victim cant keep quiet about what happened to em then the bullies will press em as part of their survival strategy (reproductive fitness for humans historically is not being exiled). which brings me full-circle to the pressure of staying silent while all this is done to me
