it’s extremely cognitively dissonant to me that all of the people from 15 years ago that i would dearly like to pick up where i left off with don’t actually exist anymore
they were manifestations of childhood that grew up and moved on. closer to birth than to today

it’s hard to walk around the place i was born and went to primary school cos i see it all through those same eyes

i just remembered that the caption i had in my head when i took this photo was: here’s the place i was born and then turfed out of aged 5 for being too poor. then i could never invite friends home cos i lived out of area. so was this where it all began?
