@NotImJhay it always felt like crossing a line to me, when people fundraise on stream not just for equipment (i.e. the stream), but for personal events, or even withholding their face to extort money this goes further in that it’s presented as a community event, and asks for participation

@NotImJhay my first thought was about the marginalised, so those in the community who don’t have these friendships so can’t take adv. of this. i wonder what ppl’s outlooks are on (1) whether they should fundraise for privileges at all and (2) how fairly distribute money across the community
