i’ve been throwin out my old pcs and keeping the cpus as mementos. what was for the 1st gen i5 (2009) a simple unscrew and pop out was for the pentium 4 (2002)…
i try to peel it off the heatsink and it fucking splits in half

you’ve heard of thermal paste but back in the day, the wave was thermal cement
soaked that shit in isopropyl, oven for 30 mins, and then dental flossing for *15 mins straight* and it finally comes off, lookin like rubble
acetone and finally the lid can be read lmao
