this week-ish marks 2 years of sdll ending as well as 1 year of sms ban, and i remember thinking 1y ago i surely wouldn't survive the latter because it'd been a conclusion i'd drawn from the former that it wasn't worth living with it and it'd just get worse if i did

so it was a huge reinforcement of that conclusion to have it happen before my eyes a year later. yet i did survive it... at least for a bit, and i think that's partly bc it was so overwhelming that i couldn't come to terms with it. facing up to social unviability is hard

i've realised that there's a sweet-spot of pressure that gets you to actually take action. you need to have a clear enough head to understand your true feelings, but not be so free of pressure that u just put things off and drift aimlessly for another year, running from reality
