i've seen this behaviour from speedrun .com (starsmiley) as well and this was my take on it

it's similar to how people these days associate ideology with inherent moral goodness, despite it just being smth they learnt from their friends

people who are falsely accused of things are among the most vulnerable, so it's cruel to treat them like this, and i don't see it as entitlement. if anything, after my "entitlement" to not being tortured by a building site or falsely accused of abuse are trampled,
