when it comes to things, u r unapologetically into w/e you're into. that's how i see ppl now as well. they don't have to be artists or anything, i just pick ones i vibe with and would once have tried to talk to, and instead just don't bother. i like them + i don't hide it anymore

next thought. this i crudely summarised as "liking ppl like things". so continuing the idea that i've lowered the bar on what a "real friend" is to me cos i have nothing better, well, i've had so little success making friends over time that how i like ppl has itself deteriorated

i can't make friendship work, so i once had a tendency to fall into parasocial relationships. however, i dont care to do this anymore either, bc i no longer have friendship goals. my approach now is just "no relationship"

i just read about their lives, look at their "content" (w/e cool stuff they've done), as if i'm getting to know them, and they occupy a warm space in my head. but the key is i have no actual desire to talk to them. i'm just a fan of certain people for no purpose

i'm struggling to explain this. it's just "liking" ppl as a substitute for friendships. top 10 songs → top 10 people??? idk

all i know is it's nice to have mental images of ppl that don't get ruined by the inevitable trash i'd see they rly are if i got to know them
