in a year 9 geography quiz, i got slid a photo of a guy smoking a fag and asked to ID the album artist. i was vgm-only back then so i tentatively wrote "killers?" but an indie kid marked it and wrote "ARCTIC MONKEYS YOU FOOL!!!!!!!"

i have this uncertain memory maybe 4 years ago that my half-sister had sung a cover of mardy bum that i heard about when i visited my dad. i remember thinking "is this about mardi gras" and 2y later i deadass had to have a northerner explain to me what mardy meant

i got to thinking of the fag album cos its name resonates w my plight of elaborate false narratives about me being expressed as fact by my mum + some1 in sms. idk if lyrics on clubbing are what i need in my life rn. but i did by chance get invited to their emirates gigs so maybe
