it is interesting how big a differene early intervention makes in situations that harm someone. u can promote forgiveness and undo pain much better by just addressing wrongdoing asap. cos the victim doesn't have to walk miles all alone with the world turning its back on em

i always had the instinct to do this when i saw smth bad happen to someone else, but then really felt it on my skin when watching this situation that destroyed my friendships and the difference made simply by reparative actions at every step coming too *late*
