if i were the puppet master to my own life, i would rig it so i never found out i was being deceived. cos all those fake friendships, they were real while they lasted. i felt the same way. they still are cos the sum total of a life is every happy outcome times how long it lasted

there is nothing futile about dying out of a depression because those happy times did happen, even if it wasn't worth pushing on for more of them, and even if there was so much sadness and regret too. that's how i would want to be remembered
