i get subjected to e.g. 1.5h of continuous pneumatic drill w/ no warning right outside my window every month or so, and find it ridic that this is ok yet denying the right to die is also perfectly fine. i can't even have the comfort of knowing it's an option

maybe the most disturbing thing about society is that after making your life a total misery, it says that if u wanna get out, u have to do it in the most painful and risky ways possible. i suppose that's poetic or something

it genuinely wrenches my gut to think of. first there's a huge taboo on suicide, then there's cutting off access to the relevant drugs, and then there's making an entire medical system based on survival at all costs, even for like tortured terminally-ill old ppl. wtf
